Description
A 2008 Gretsch Jimmie Vaughan Synchromatic G400JV archtop guitar, serial #JT08030794, natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.
Crafted in Japan at the Terrada factory, this Gretsch Synchromatic is a beautifully-made homage to the archtop guitars of Gretsch’s past, but with some updates for modern convenience. The JV is a signature model for legendary blues guitarist Jimmie Vaughan, known for his work as a solo artist as well as with The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
The G400 JV features a set 25.5 inch scale length maple neck with a 20 fret ebony fretboard with mother of pearl “hump” inlays. The unique Synchromatic headstock wears a set of gold Grover Imperial tuners, with mother of pearl Gretsch logo and Synchromatic inlay of mother of pearl and abalone. The body has a spruce top, lightly figured maple back and sides, and multi-ply binding surrounding it. Adjustable stair step rosewood bridge with piezo pickup, gold Gretsch trapeze tailpiece, bound tortoise shell plastic pickguard with hidden roller control knobs for volume and tone.
Includes hardshell case.
