Description

Cal. 50. NSN. 8" brass bbls with smooth bores. Right side of bbls have Birmingham Black Powder proofs. Swivel bbl release is mounted in front of trigger guard bow. Ramrod and cleaning rods are held in full length brass pipes on either side of bbl. Brass boxlock action with patriotic theme engraving. Center mounted hammer with sliding safety. Single trigger. Right side is marked "LONDON". Left side has maker's name "BLAIR". Rnd butt walnut stock with metal buttcap. CONDITION: brass bbls and lock exhibit a mild patina. Stock shows scattered scratches and marks. Bbls are slightly loose on frame. Release has broken button with very stiff operation. Top tang sliding safety does not function properly. Dark pitted bores. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection. (01-27678/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-2,000.
