JEFFREY OCONNOR OF KEARNY, NEW JERSEY WON THIS LOT IN OUR DEC. 2 AUCTION, PAID, THEN DID A CHARGE BACK BECAUSE HE CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT DRIVING TO PICK THIS LOT UP. THAT IS WHY IT IS RELISTED IN THIS AUCTION. A group of four vintage floor-standing console units, primarily constructed from dark, veneered wood, exhibiting design elements characteristic of the Art Deco and Streamline Moderne periods, likely dating from the 1930s-1940s. The first unit is a tall radio with fluted pilasters, an oval dial, and decorative speaker grille work. The second unit features a rounded top, a rectangular "Zenith" branded dial displaying controls for "BROADCAST" and "SHORT WAVE," and a drop-down panel revealing a "Zenith Radionic" phonograph. The third unit, also by "Zenith," is a large console radio with a prominent circular dial and an intricately patterned speaker grille. The fourth unit, a radio-phonograph combination, has a more upright cabinet with turned legs, a top-opening lid revealing a turntable, and an accompanying "Victor Radio" instruction booklet which references "Victor Radio Electrola," with an internal "W" logo and "Victor Model" visible on its chassis. Their internal vacuum tube chassis and wiring appear aged and dusty, indicating a non-functional or unrestored state. Burns in-house shipping is available.
