Selected for the Ohio exhibition and catalog, this decoy is related to carvings bearing the "GAS" rig marking of founding Winous Point member George Abraham Stanley (1818-1883). Inked letters on underside may be "GAS."
Original paint with gunning wear, including some paint loss to head and above tail.
