Beaded war lance case from the Crow Native American Indians and dating to circa 1890-1900’s. The lance scabbard features an Indian tanned Buffalo rawhide parfleche construction with early trade clothe edging and excellent traditional geometric beadwork. These Crow lance cases are extremely rare and this example exhibits exceptional art appeal. The cases were historically known to house the swords used by the Indians during the Indian Wars. Measures 44 inches long not including fringe. With fringe, 59 inches. 7 inches at its widest. Overall good condition, please see photos.
