Victorian Walnut Marble-Top “Turtle Top” Parlor Table, Late 19th Century — A refined American Victorian parlor table in walnut featuring a shaped and scalloped white marble top with molded edge above a serpentine skirt centered with carved floral ornament and scrolling detail. The base is raised on four cabriole legs joined by a shaped cross stretcher with turned central finial, terminating in original casters. The marble top displays soft gray veining and retains good color and surface integrity. The sculptural base exhibits pleasing proportions and warm walnut figuring throughout. 29 in. H, 42 in. W, 28 in. D.

Condition

Marble top in good condition with minor surface wear and light edge abrasions consistent with age. Walnut base structurally sound with typical finish wear.
