.36 Cal. 5" barrel length. SN: 157. Gray patina overall mounting walnut grips, brass front blade, and hammer rear notch sights. Single action six-shot percussion revolver with center hammer and triggerguard actuated loading lever. Percussion cones screwed in from rear. Left barrel is marked in two lines ALLEN & WHEELOCK, WORCESER./ALLEN'S PT'S. JAN. 13. DEC. 15. 1857. Cylinder pin appears to be a modern replacement and shows some metal discolorations, likely from shaping. Cylinder pin latch is likewise replaced. {ANTIQUE}
Condition
Good. Bore is Dark with patina and oxidation throughout and strong rifling. Metal finish is a cleaned gray to brown mottled color with some pitting and scattered nicks to the metalwork. Grips show chipping along the edges of the butt with handling dents and sanding wear. Action fails to fully index cylinder, and cylinder stop fails to engage.
