Description

PENDLETON CO., WEST VIRGINIA PAINTED PINE FARM TABLE, the rectangular three-board top with breadboard ends over a plain apron, the whole supported by square tapered legs which join the skirt with scalloped brackets. Retains an early layered painted surface with an alligatored texture to the base with a scrubbed top having remnants of the paint remaining. Circa 1870. 30" H, 35" x 72 1/4" top.

Discovered in Sugar Grove, Pendleton Co., WV.

Condition

Very good overall condition with minor to moderate staining and residue (possibly glue of some kind) on the top; the base with minor typical wear to the painted surface.
