For your consideration is this Apache Nation Rawhide Wrapped Bow and Arrows Wall Hanging by Apache artist Carl Pierce, from the Many Trails Collection at the former Indian Nations Trading Post in Livingston, Montana, circa 20th century. The bow features leather wrapping around the shaft, with leather thong attached horsehair drops, as well as beaded turkey feather drops on the sinew bow string. The two arrows feature paint decorated shafts, sinew wrapped Turkey feather fletchings and sinew attached metal arrow heads. The arrows are attached to the bow with leather thongs. Leather arrow head pouch is attached to the arrows. Historically, the Apache used Wild Mulberry is their bowmaking, as well as Acacia. Oak was good at first but did not last long. Bow and arrows are in good overall condition. Measures 30"W x 45.25"L, combined weight is 14oz.
