World War Two U.S. Navy VC-68 squadron patch. The patch is a decal on leather. Measures 4.75" x 4.25". Established as Composite Squadron seventy Nine (VC-68) on July 1,1943. The insignia was approved by the Office of Chief of Naval Operations - CNO on December 31, 1943. VC-79 was deployed aboard the USS Fanshaw Bay and flew the General Motors FM-2 Wildcat and TBM-3 Avenger. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
