JEB S. MAGRUDER (1934-2014) American businessman and a high-level operative in the Watergate scandal. It was Magruder who, as special assistant to the President for domestic policy development, and later as deputy director of the president's 1972 re-election campaign, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to wiretap, obstruct justice and defraud the United States. Ironically, he was later ordained as a Presbyterian minister! Bold signature on a first day cover canceled Washington, Jan. 24, 1968 and honoring the American flag. Magruder signs in felt tip marker, adding date ’11/16/81’. Fine.
