Description

Philippines, Southern Luzon, Bicole region Minasbad short sword with scabbard, 19th century. Curved single edge steel blade with a straight spine and deeply engraved decorated blade. Guard with Spanish style clamshell, single turned down quillion and single bar over the grip. Handle in horn with light engraved decoration. Wood scabbard with fine tightly wrapped fiber bands. Size 25 3/4" L, blade 18" L
