Rare Visayan Talibong Sword w/ D guard

Description

Rare Visayan Talibong/Binangon sword with banded wood sheath. Slender single edged blade with double edged tip and thick 1/4" spine. Blade terminates into guard with talismanic "BB" stippled to one side below the heel and three brass dots to the reverse. Single downturned quillon runs down to pommel forming a D guard. Copper collar leads to dark wood handle. Wood sheath secured with bands of wood and area of leather wrap. Size 29 3/4" L, blade 24" L, 1/4" thick spine

Condition

Losses to wood sheath exposing multiple inches of the sword spine at base and between leather and wood band.
