Luzon, Igorot Kalinga headhunters axe, circa 1800s. Used by the headhunters of the Igorot peoples, has aa elongated axe head with long spike typical of the Igorot peoples. The wood handle finely lined with both ribbed and cross-hatched metal with a proturding stub for better grip. Butt of the handle is capped with a ornately decorated bronze tube. Size 23 1/2" L overall, blade 11 5/8" W
