Hotan Jade Double Sparrow Earrings, 14.47g. A court or noble ornament of the Qing Dynasty, representative of "gold-inlaid jade" craftsmanship. Made of silver-gilt, inlaid with Hotan white jade double sparrows, tourmaline, rubies, and other gemstones. Crafted with filigree, wire twisting, and inlay; the earrings feature a gold wire-twisted base inlaid with white jade double sparrows, symbolizing "double sparrows announcing good fortune", with exquisite craftsmanship and splendid colors. Qing Dynasty. A masterpiece of Qing Dynasty filigree inlay, important for researching court ornaments and gemstone inlay techniques of the Qing Dynasty.
