LOT of handmade cloth rag dolls with embroidered and painted faces. 1930's Time period? All but (3) of the dolls have black wool yarn hair. Painted face (really pen/ink) -14" doll with very detailed expression. Dressed in cotton print dress with matching bonnet. Pinafore with embroidery. 9" Doll with body made from a small polka dot print. Needle sculpted face with embroidery. Other dolls with character faces are 9 1/2", 13". 10" Male has features that are appliqued and he has wooden lower legs, painted shoes. Dolls with no hair - 7" and an 11 1/2" that is the most expressive of all of these dolls. This is a wonderful lot, worthy of your time. Condition: age discoloration, loss.
