The envelope is addressed in another hand and shows appropriate postal markings, with additional receiving stamp on the verso from Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania.
Fine condition.
Benjamin Harrison (1833–1901) served as the 23rd President of the United States from 1889 to 1893. A grandson of President William Henry Harrison, he was the only president to be the grandson of another president until the 21st century. During his administration, Harrison signed the Sherman Antitrust Act into law, strengthened the modern U.S. Navy, and oversaw the admission of six new states to the Union. Signed material dated shortly after his presidency remains highly desirable among collectors of 19th-century American political history.
