Early electric radio receiver housed in a distinctive green laquered console cabinet, raised on long tapered legs. The front panel features three faceted control knobs and a small viewing window for the tuning dial beneath a toggle switch, with geometic line decoration. The interior retains a row of original vacuum tubes and wiring components. A manufacturer’s plate inside the cabinet identifies the unit as an �Eveready A-C Receiver, � produced by the National Carbon Company, a division of Union Carbide, and intended for operation on standard 105–125 volt household current.
