A large round mirror in the Rococo style featuring robust, scrolling openwork carvings of acorn and leaf motifs along the exterior frame. The inner border is detailed with a ribbon-and-bead motif framing the period glass. The piece retains its original mercury glass, exhibiting characteristic foxing and wear. Measures approximately 39" in diameter x 3" D. Condition includes some touch-ups to the gilding and minor breaks to the raised areas of the carving. Contains mercury.
