Large bowl signed on the base with the artist’s initials “H B G” and “Teagues,” for Hobart B. Garner and 1976, part of the historic Seagrove, North Carolina pottery tradition. Hobart operated the pottery with his wife Zedith Teague Garner and was known for his consistent glazes and well-formed vessels. This example features a rich brown glaze with a distinctive runny glaze along the upper portion of the curving form. Measures approximately 7″ H x 12 7/8″ diameter. Good condition.
