An abstract still life oil painting on canvas depicting potted plants, bowls of fruit, and vases outlined in bold black lines and rendered in vibrant colors including blue, purple, red, green, and yellow. Walter Taft Bradshaw (1933-2021) was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and attended the North Carolina State University School of Design. After graduating, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he built a 30+ year career as a landscape architect designing grounds for hotels, condominiums, and private residences. In retirement he relocated to Boone, North Carolina and devoted himself fully to painting, becoming known for his boldly colored abstract works and vibrant still lifes. In March 2022, David Watkins Art Gallery acquired more than 50 original oil paintings from the Taft Bradshaw estate. Measures approximately 18'' H x 24'' W, Good condition.
