2/1 format rod made during the San Francisco era. Inked across two flats: "R.L. Winston 7' 9" 2 1/2 oz. #8708 Pat. No. 2537488", with tan wraps tipped white at the guides and tan wraps tipped red at the tip top and at the handle, straight cork handle with down-sliding band and butt cap, the ferrules are tight (need a light cleaning to seat) and are over-wrapped with thread in true Winston style. Serial number 8708 is inked on both sections which are full length and straight, with the cork lightly soiled but not damaged. Comes with the original red Winston bag with dark green San Francisco label and the correct tube with the green & yellow Winston decal.
