Row of alphabets in two different fonts, various styles of borders, poetic verse, above a rendering of a schoolhouse, two eight-point stars, trees, urns of flowers, birds, and a heart. Signed "Catharine Elizabeth Allison/ aged Thirteen Years 1840" and all contained in a wave border. Conserved by Rivers Antiques and in a wooden frame behind glass, 17.5"h. 17.5"w. Provenance: The Lifetime Collection of the late Nancy Goff (Alliance, Ohio).
