Description
3.5" bore diameter that fires a 3 lbs cannon ball. 51" in total length. 3" diameter of trunnions. Trunnions are marked "B". The "B" would indicate a British iron works company that produced the cannon in the 18th and 19th century. Iron construction and maintaining all the characteristics of an Armstrong designed cannon. Most of these cannons were used by the Royal Navy and saw action in the Crimean War. This cannon is in good condition as an example of an Armstrong designed cannon. While it maintains a state of oxidization, all the cannon characteristics are prominently on display.
