The white field of this Salor torba is covered in three horizontal rows of offset, serrated curled leaves in steel blue, madder red and ruby red. They are linked by short straight stems that form hexagonal frames at the centre of the space. Between the central and upper rows, smaller curled leaves alternate with brown-red rectangles. A high proportion of ruby silk sections. This distinctive design is also encountered in Salor kapunuks.
Provenance: Peter Hoffmeister Collection, Dorfles-Esbach
