Description
(1820 - 1863) Confederate major general whose raid on Holly Springs destroyed Grant's supply depot, only later to be killed by a jealous husband. Rare, full signature in black ink on a 3.5 x 1.5 in. slip of paper cut from a document, adding his prewar rank in the U.S. Army. Shows a few faint creases, else in fine condition.
