FRENCH BRASS AND MOTHER-OF-PEARL "BAILEY" OPERA GLASSES WITH CASE, LOT OF TWO, brass frames with incised makers/retailer marks to edge of eye cup, comprising an example marked "Bailey & Co / Philadelphia", engraved name of "Duchess 12 Verres" on the bridge frame, case closure button with a bee hallmark; and remaining example by LeMaire and marked "Bailey, Banks & Biddle / Philadelphia, center bridge impressed "63" and with a figural bee, engraved monogram on front bridge . Each fitted in a leather case with hinged cover and handle. Second half 19th/early 20th century. 2 1/4" H, 3 7/8" W and 2 1/2" H, 4" W.
