Large Ancient Egyptian Faience Ushabti Figure Late period, ca. 700-30 B.C.Size:7-3/8”H.Large molded faience pottery ushabti having a mottled brown blue-green glazed surface. Depicted wearing the striated royal wig and braided beard, holding implements in both hands. Nine horizontal registers of glyphic inscription on the legs. Repaired break at the knees with breakline visible, a chip on the lower right corner of wig, otherwise intact.Provenance:Private Delaware collection, inherited from parents, who received as a gift from an RAF serviceman in the 1950s.
