Head of a woman looking upward - casein on photograph, sheet - 28" high x 20" wide, small loss to head, otherwise image is in good condition; surface soiling at scuffing to white lower margin, matted, not framed. Arm and pointed finger - sheet - 40" high x 30" wide; moisture soiling along left edge and lower edge, not framed or matted. Abraham Joel Tobias (American, 1913 - 1996) was a painter, muralist, and educator in New York City and the pioneer of shaped canvases in the 1930's.
