A rare seldom found fashion, this early painted eye Huret is on a jointed gutta percha body. Typical of the early Huret dolls they have a most expressive and distinctive appearance, a slightly tilted head accented by the painted intaglio eyes, chubby cheeks, and pale bisque, make this a most appealing doll and it is quite easy to understand why collectors actively pursue these doll as well as hold them in such high regard. Dressed in an appropriate outfit of newer vintage, she has a snow white mohair wig with a hat matching her outfit. Although this example has had some restoration to the bisque head, her painted eyes, brows, and lips seem to be intact and not over painted. The gutta percha body has had some repairs and repainting but overall intact and functional. Although she has an issue, she is still quite attractive, displays nicely and very affordable if one could ever find an example without any loss. Condition: Dimensions: 15 -1/2" T.
