FRENCH, LOUIS XVI STYLE SERVER, 19TH C., H 34", L 35", D 15" :Has a white marble top with a pierced brass, 3/4 gallery. Front corner fluted columns flanking two full-width drawers with bronze ormolu decorations. Bronze drawer pulls with the lower drawer pulls resemble bowed ribbons. Tapered legs with bronze decorations in the form of intertwining spiraled ribbons. A lower stretcher shelf with a 3/4 pierced brass gallery. Brass caps on the tapered feet.


The marble top is intact with a few very minor scratches and a few very light yellow stains from age and use. On the lower drawer, at the top left corner, there is a piece of veneer that is beginning to lift, approx 1"x 1/4". This piece of veneer has not come off, it is only lifting. Both side panels of the server, each have a lengthwise crack in the veneer at the center of each panel. There are also some spider cracks in the veneer. The veneer is not lifting. At the bottom shelf there are hairline cracks in the veneer. The veneer is not lifting. The brass gallery at the left side, of the bottom shelf, has a crack. TW 2-12-19
