Hollywood Icon Humphrey Bogart Signs Contract During the Making of "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" and "Key Largo"

8pp.  typed document signed, measuring 8.5” x 11”, Los Angeles, California, dated March 16, 1948. Boldly signed “Humphrey Bogart” in blue ink on the final page. A three-year employment contract engaging the Sam Jaffe Agency to serve as an Agent for Bogart. The contract, starting August 20, 1948, states that $0.10 of all money earned by the actor would go to the agency. Humphrey Bogart (1899-1957) was selected by the American Film Institute as the greatest male star of classic American cinema in 1999. His best known role came in 1942 with Casablanca.
