Late 19th c. Painted Cast Iron Still Bank by J&E Stevens (Cromwell, CT), black and gold painted surface, 6" high, 4 3/8" wide. Minor paint loss.

J. & E. Stevens Co., c. 1891, cast iron, japanned overall, depicts dog's head finial, chip on side, façade embossed, "Home Savings." 5 3/4" x 4 3/8".

Nice original bank, Moore No. 1237. USA patented 1891. 5 3/4" by 4 3/8". Japanned finish with gold highlights. No cracks or breaks, and should clean to a higher grade. Very Good
