Michaan lost item from lot. Michaan blames their recommended shipper (pakmail). Pakmail states they have photo of lot when the lot was picked up and item was already missing. Michaan refuses to compensate me for lost item and only offered an apology.

great people to deal with

This was not my first purchase from Michaan's and probably won't be my last. Items have been as described and check out is easy. I gave 4 stars on pickup because I had to make an appointment rather than just showing up when it was convenient for me. It was probably due to staffing shortages, as is the case pretty much everywhere right now.

I have purchased from Michaan's before. The previews are well managed with good display of items. Staff super courteous. Pickup is fast and efficent. One could not ask for more.

Excellent auction house and accurate description-very well packaged and shipped in timely manner.

I have purchased items from two different auctions. Both have exceeded expectations. Really a wonderful group of people working there. They responded very quickly to my questions. The items were as described and in very good condition.

They initially sent me the wrong item. They had multiples of the same item in differing conditions. I thoroughly looked over the photos and choose the piece in the cleanest/best condition. When my item arrived it was not the same piece. After some back and forth discussion, they found they had given the wrong piece to the shippers. They would not ship my piece to me until I had returned the wrong piece to them. They paid all the extra expenses but it was over a month until I got the piece I actually had purchased. They did not offer anything to compensate me for my troubles or extra efforts, other than apologies.

There was a slight issue with the attribution of one of the items I bid on. The team at Michaan's was ultra responsive and very professional. The matter was taken care of immediately. Michaan's is a professional and honest auction house and they take pride in their business. I highly recommend them.

Magnificent Item

I have bid and won other auctions with Michaan's. Their description of the items are exact; I have never been disappointed with my wins based upon inaccurate descriptions. Their bidding process is very fair and honest. Some auction houses increase the bids to counter my maximum bid, but Michaan's does not go to my maximum. I have great comfort bidding with Michaan's because I know that their auctioning is open and proper.
