Schuler Auktionen was founded in 1984 by Philippe Schuler. His aim was – and still is – to offer a broader based auction service palette. Over the intervening years the company has grown from an initial staff of 3 to around 25 and encompasses diverse expertise – all of which is needed to deal with the 4,000 plus objects processed in each auction. Every auction lot is appraised, researched and catalogued with utmost care and professional competence. With its wide range of services, Schuler Auktionen earned its undisputed place in the Swiss art market. It owes its high reputation to the untiring entrepreneurial spirit of Philippe Schuler and his team of competent experts. The Swiss and foreign clientele values the broad selection of auction items as well as the informal atmosphere and personal attention. Schuler Auktionen holds 4 sales every quarter – in March, June, September and December – covering most areas. Each auction is accompanied by a richly illustrated catalogue (printed and online).
