Good Auction!

The buyer's premium on this lot was 30 %. I paid with a credit card and was charged yet another 3 % (ok. 2.9). When I mentioned that that seemed like gouging when I already was being charged 30 %, she said: "Well, we have to give LiveAuctioneers 5 %." It seems to me that being with an online auctioneer opens them up to vastly more bidders in this country and around the world than if they were just running an in-person auction in Iowa. This more than makes up for the 5 % they have to pay the online auctioneer when one considers that this lot would have sold for a lot less at an in-person auction. I'll certainly look more closely before I bid with Jackson's again.

Received my item (s) very quickly and they were thoroughly packed. I ended up missing something as well as having one of the pieces being broken in transit. They were very quick to help rectify the situation. Great communication as well.

The quality of what I received far exceeded their description.

I paid $275 for a lot of vintage Easter items where no condition was disclosed and the photos were carefully constructed to hide the damaged items. I received many items damaged beyond repair and will not be able to resell them. This was intentional on Jackson’s part. Plus, they reamed me on the shipping, they charged $96 for a lot that I would’ve charged $20 to ship on eBay. I will never use them again. Nor will I be usingliveauctioneers.com again until you order these auction houses to disclose the condition of the items. They have the advantage taking one picture for 50 items and posing them in such a way that I can’t see the damage. By the time I paid them their 30 % up charge ‘ buyers premium ’, the auction at $275 and all their extra charges of shipping and credit card use charge of $13, I paid them $467, for maybe if I am lucky, $200-250 worth of items resale. As you can see, this is not a good business model. I’ll just stick with eBay. No buyers surcharge, no handling charges, complete descriptions and photos of items and money back guarantees! I received no satisfaction from Jackson’s. Plus their packing was with inferior. I think they did it on purpose because the way they are handling my complaint is they are making a claim against Fedex when really I was told by their shipping manager that items were defective/broken before they went in the box. So FedEx has to pay for their lies deception? I would dump Jackson’s because they have no integrity.

On the description, they said it function properly but it not toy run 3 steps and it stop. I contact them many times so the problem not solve. ATTENTION bidders stay away from this auction you will have the problem like me. They all liar

They claim their in-house shipping is inexpensive. I got two napkin holders and was quoted almost $70 in shipping. When I further inquired they offered to ship it without insurance in a flat rate priority mail box for $40. It arrived with one layer of bubble wrap around each piece then packed in shredded newspaper. It was only luck that they got here without damage. You would think professional shippers would know not to use shredded newspaper which provides no protection.

shipping one small item was $40 + to ship. The "in-house" shipping benefit is over-priced. Item should have been less than $20 including labor and materials as the packing was shreded paper (trash)

The item pictured was displayed without the damaged portion being displayed. The damage was not mentioned in the description. When asked about this on receipt of the material, I was told that it was my responsibility to check the items out even though it is online. They put entire burden on the buyer to see through their deceptive practices. Caveat Emptor.

The whole process was simple from start to finish. Excellent customer service and polite employees and shipping staff.

I thought the shipping cost was a bit too expensive and was shocked when I saw the bill expecting about $70-$75 but saw it was $149. I already knew the buyers premium was 30 percent, so having the shipping so high, I was really shocked and disappointed. But, otherwise it was a good experience.

I don't think I would buy here again after my bad experience with your company last time. I had great experience before.

We found Jackson's Auctions to be organized, pleasant and professional. The packing and shipping was handled in house. The items were packed and protected really well and arrived when we were notified they would with no damage. This was our first auction with Jackson's, but it will not be our last. Thank you for such a positive experience.

Someone named Beth actually came to the auction house on a weekend at my convenience because I drove five hours from Chicago to Iowa to pick up my item. She was there exactly when she said and she helped me load a bookcase. She had a background in shipping and she loved her job. She was extremely helpful and a valuable employee, and I hope she takes those qualities and moves forward with them in the workplace. Thank you so much. Barbara

I received a prompt response to a question I had. Items were delivered in a timely manner. I have never been more satisfied with any other auction house that I have done business with, and there have been many.

Customer service at Jackson's was excellent the auction was a lot of fun but the shipping was three times what I paid to ship similar items with other auction houses. I will not be doing business with Jackson again.

The auctioneer should make a better effort to inform buyers that it may take several weeks to actually package and ship their purchases. Knowing that in advance would not have affected my purchase decision but It would have given comfort knowing the wheels were turning. I wish more auction houses would offer in-house shipping. I will bid again at Jackson if something of interest appears.

Very easy to work with.

Previous auction-picked up an item (large antique Mission Oak buffet) that was shrink wrapped. This did not allow for inspection and the single photo on the auction listin and the written description for that listing, did not highlight or mention damage whatsoever. Upon getting the item home and unwrapping it, it had substantial damage to the veneer throughout... bubbling, missing and lifting in many areas.
