I appreciate their candor with regard to the condition of items.

The experience was very good. I only wish they had weekend hours for pick up.

I liked being able to see both the item being offered AND see and hear the auctioneer. I asked them to check and see if there was any restoration on one of the items, and got the very accurate answer that there was not any. The packing was exceptionally careful and effective against shipping dangers. My impression was one of honesty and of them caring to help, and to do so expediently.

It is not always necessary to have signed receipts for delivery. Send the ********** by USPS, Insured, and you will get the same protection at a fraction of the expense. BDS

The fees and shipping were exorbitantly high! Will consider carefully before bidding again!

Buyers should be able to pay through the website similar to Proxibid. Also, the shipping charges for this seller were very high.

28 % commission is absurd.

I called the auction twice concerning the purchase and invoice and found them to be very helpful, professional, and cordial. Thank you very much! I love my painting!

I recently bid on 2 separate ivory items. Bids were revised by auctioneer and indicated that it will only be sold locally. That disqualified me so I retracted my bid. The bids were won by an online bid like me. I am just wondering if the winner is really a local bidder.

It is unethical to not disclose that an antique item is completely restored. Wear and minor damages are one thing but major restorations are another. Jacksons sold a rug that had been cut and rewoven along its entire length. A simple picture of the restoration would have let me know. I communicated with them after and they claimed it was my fault for not asking. Any auction house that would not disclose that in the description is dishonest. LiveAuctioneers should not condone such behavior as it reflects badly on the entire association.

28 % buyer premium is crazy and if I did bark about a 70 dollar shipping charge I would never gotten a fair shipping rate of 40 dollars. An additional 3 % to use my credit card was another problem since I don't use paper checks anymore and that just not fair

I called Jessi twice about a couple of auction lots. She was very pleasant and provided answers in a timely manner. I would be happy to do business with you again in the future.

I purchased from their Nov 17 auction and as of today 12/8/2015 they have not released my goods. Very rude staff and unresponsive on email. It will be the last time I buy from them.. I hope one day that we can rate the auction houses as they can the buyer.

It was very pleasing and reassuring that the Auction House took care of the packing and shipping, and I might add that the costs was very reasonable, Well done. I will return to Jackson's Auctions, to browse their upcoming Auctions with a real possibility of Bidding. Thank you Jackson's.

I haven't received the paintings yet, but the people seem nice there. I assume with the email I received the paintings are finally going to be shipped although no tracking number was sent. Sincerely, Richard

The payment process was extremely slow as was the shipping process, far more so than other auctions. In addition the shipping price was very high relative to the quality of the actual packing materials. The piece was sent in a padded UPS envelope (which is free) and the actual packing was nothing special. The staff are pleasant enough and I'm sure do their best but I would be reluctant to return.

The worst experience in my 50 years auction participation. First message from them Nov 19: "Please be advised that the seller has requested your permission to remove the following item: Lot 965, 5 AUSTRIAN ART NOUVEAU PICTURE FRAMES which you've won during Russian, Asian, European & American Fine Art on Nov 18, 2015." I requested to send me invoice ASAP And second Nov 20: "This item is not available. There was a clerking error, the lot was sold to an in-house buyer." One of them is an evident lie and all enterprise is a fraudulent one!

The auction house did not list the condition of the work. They also insist that they pack and ship all items. The watercolor is badly foxed and will cost several hundred dollars to fix, the mat is so badly foxed it needs to be thrown out, and frame is damaged and worthless. The packing was sub-par, and the shipping took way longer than expected. It just arrived today. I always hope that auction houses post something of a description in the listing, and when they have no conditions listed one hopes that the condition is good. I am aware that I can write to an auction house to get a condition report, but it should be stated in the listing and was not. This is what gives the auction business a bad name and keeps the average person from shopping at auction. I myself will hesitate to do business with Jackson's again.
