Always a good auction

Beware of shipping with NYE. They seem to make up their prices as they go. They were going to charge me $35 + to ship a ring. I had an estimate of $25 at first (which was also expensive) and then they invoices me for $35. When asked about it they said the first price was only an estimate. So you mean to tell me that shipping went up $10 for a ring? I have my own business and I ship small items everyday. Shipping is $4. The rest is wherever the company decides.

I thought that the item that I bid on and won, would be charged to the credit card I put on file thru Live Auctioneers... But, I was invoiced afterwards AND then, paid in full, using the PAY link. At that time, I assumed I was paying for shipping and I’ve watched since for tracking info. Since being billed for Shipping separately, I’ve been searching on Live Auctioneers & Nye & CO websites, on how to pay Nye to ship!?? Where is the link to pay you within your email? Where is the info on how to pay you on your invoice for your shipping???

My only suggestion is that your description might have included the fact that two of the decorative white marble (plaster?) decorations were missing from the mantel. It was shown in the photo, though.

The kind of auction experience that will lend a hand for making your platform the "go to" platform for great items, great service and the good feeling that comes with trusting the auction house your dealing with!! Should mean a little extra coming from a retired auctioneer!

Went to pay for and pickup my auction wins last week, takes me an hour each way to get there, and they don't except Discover card-which is something they should mention on their invoice. So it was a wasted two and 1 half hour trip for nothing. Live auctioneers excepts Discover, and I assumed they did as well. If I knew this before hand I would have paid for the items on-line before I went there to pick them up. Not happy so far. In 15 years of having the Discover card they are the FIRST venders I've dealt with not to except Discover.

The employees with whom I spoke were very nice and helpful.

I contacted them about shipping options and they told me that they were closing for the holidays, and to contact them back in January. I contacted them again, and then they said that they made a mistake and that the item was not supposed to be auction because it was damage. I asked them to send me photos of the item, so that I can see the damage and determine if I still wanted the item, and they never got back to me. In summary, it looks like they did an auction on an item that they didn't have. You cannot trust this company.

Nye is one of the auction houses that makes the whole absentee bidding experience pleasant and very easy. They respond promptly with answers, and are extremely helpful with any sort of requests. But, the best thing about Nye & Company auctions is that-they always have THE BEST items listed! I’m addicted! LOL!

item purchased had crack which was repaired, no place on their website mentioned this, and it was not visible on pictures, it was a gift for someone, and basically had to accept at time of pick-up but very unhappy
