Take their comment on getting shipping quote prior to bidding seriously.
I was very excited to win two Smart Boards for my title-1 school to teach my special education students. The fact that I won them for under $100 was a blessing for my students. I need technology for my classroom and our school budget is stretched too far. I called around for shipping after-the-fact and found that my under $100 blessing became an over $2, 000 nightmare (close to the cost of a newer, more functional Smart Board). I asked the shipper (UPS Store in Harrisburg) to pick items up and released items to them to do something nice for a local low-budget school. They seemed very genuine about it, so I am not devastated by my loss, but sure wish I had researched first.

Non-responsive
I've been trying to contact the auction house regarding shipping now for two weeks, asking if they had released the item to UPS but have received no response.

They do not offer shipping in house. You will have to contact one of their preferred shipping partners if you do not live close enough to pick up your item. Understandably, it can get a bit expensive.

Unbelievably rude and inefficient. You sold the item I won to someone else, but when I called, no one there knew anything about it. I wasted my entire day trying to find out what was happening with my item. In the end, i didn't get the item, no one apologized but (little surprise here), I DID get the invoice for the item. Yea, sold my item to someone else and STILL invoiced me for it. And all the while, Cordier staff was so rude and entitled-it's as if you hate customers. No worries. I won't be back and I'll make sure your business practices are well publicized. No one should be treated like that.

Wow! We are delighted with our auction experience, from the person who handled taking our payment, to the super fast delivery of our items to the UPS store.

As a collector of documents for more then 40 years, I was disappointed in the lot. Many (but not all) of the documents not shown are copies of the originals. Copies are relatively worthless to me as a collector. With the exception of the 1698 Burlington NJ indenture shown in detail, all the other indentures not shown were damaged, or unsigned or copied. I might ad that the 1698 indenture has no connection to the document lot, the Morris or Widdifield name and was wondering why it was shown in the images. The scope of the collection would have required numerous questions, that when asked to auction house's in the past most never get answered. I bid based on the description being an adequate description of the lot which it was, and the images in regards to the documents being a fair representation of the lot as a whole which I feel it was not. I got caught up in the bidding process as many do but had more pictures been offered along with showing damages and notations of copies on the documents I would have surely bid less on the lot as a whole. I find feedback an important process in the auction venue, and prior to bidding determined the auction house's reputation as a whole is very good. My only concern is that more pictures of the documents should have been provided showing the lots true origin in name and business. Had this been done then I feel a fairer representation of the document portion of the lot would have better value of the lot as whole, But based on my lack of questions, and bidding I assume the responsibility in the transaction and will take the lose on my end. I hope Cordier auctions finds this as a fair representation.
