Local buyer, open all week for inspection. In this day and age of technology, we are always happy to send prospects additional photos, videos, etc..

The lot description reads as follows: "DIMINUTIVE BOMBAY CABINET, 20" H "Diminutive defined in Webster's is as follows," Adjective, used to describe something that is extremely or unusually small . The numeric description was used to describe the height of the object for frame of reference. In this case, 20" is 8 "larger than one foot. It's like buying the" RED SPORTS CAR "and then complaining that you didn't realize it was RED.

We are pleased to respond to this bogus review. First of all, we are talking about one lot in which we improperly described one of the items in the lot. The buyer contacted our office, yelling and screaming and carrying on about all the wrong we had done. We admitted the mistake and apologized. The customer asked for a 50 % refund. He not only asked for that by telephone but also in the lengthy messages transcript that we provided to Live Auctioneers as evidence. We refunded the amount requested. Upon receipt of the refund, the buyer contacted our office once again, this time griping that he never agreed to the 50 % refund. At that point, he went off with a flurry of vulgar and berating comments. This went on for quite some time without our being able to make any comment at all. At that point, he hung up on us. Usually when someone is being insulted, they are the ones that hang up the telephone, not the other way around. Concerned that we were not able to reach a resolution, we immediately contacted the buyer once again to offer some sort of input. Once again, he carried on with an onslaught of vulgar and nasty, degrading comments without us being able to make any kind of comment and then, yes, hung up on us again. Third time around, we were able to get a word in asking that he respect us enough to make comment on how this could be resolved. We were hung up on gain. We've given the public way more than we should have concerning this transaction but it is offered for those who read negative reviews and never get to hear the other side of the story. We were dealing with a deranged individual who posted a lopsided, giant run-on sentence review that made us look like the bad-guy. We made a mistake in the description, owned it and issued the refund the customer asked for. What are we missing here? Buyers, we are not perfect but we do try to give the best descriptions possible. If we are incorrect, it is not intentional and strive to make things right.
