Good overall service

Outrage.
Good afternoon! I bought two lots. The purchase is fixed on the my bids page. The auction house accepted payment for only one lot. The auction house refused to pay me for the second lot. I paid for my purchase. I waited a very long time for the auction to transfer my purchase to the carrier. I send messages every day to the auction house and the carrier, for two weeks. I received only one answer that the auction house will contact. I received one freight offer from the carrier, the shipping cost exceeded three times that of similar offers. I asked them to take a closer look at pricing. I wrote to everyone every day. They did not answer once. I have already despaired. My money was wasted. There is a major language barrier here causing some issue with understanding the buying process. This buyer bid on and won one item. Buyer paid for their item the day after the auction. The shipper picked up their item to process for shipping the following day. The auction house is not sure why this buyer is full of "outrage" when we did all we were to do. Never once did the buyer reach out to us to discuss any problem. On the occasion that that buyer did reach out, we were able to provide an update on shipping. This sounds like a major sob story. Buyers, bid with confidence.

Buyer beware.
This auction house should not be selling online. The photos provided did not show the major damage to the pieces I purchased. The response to my questions concerning one of the pieces I purchased was misleading. They stated "repair to canvas" on a Westnofa safari chair. What they meant was canvas is torn and needs to be repaired. They never mentioned missing buttons. A George Nelson cabinet has large areas of missing veneer, large areas have been very poorly filled with wood filler as well as water damage to the top. The piece is so badly damaged that it is essentially worthless. The top of one of two night stands has been sanded through. The veneer is gone and the particle board substrate is exposed in an area about 2 "x 1". Again, not repairable nor shown in photos. Very disappointed!

Thank you for the review. This might explain why the customer was so unfriendly at time of pick up. It's too bad nothing was said at that time to help right the ship. Our terms state that condition reports are available upon request, prior to the auction. You can't bid, win and then complain after the fact if you had time prior to the auction to investigate the items you were about to purchase. It should be noted that this is not NEW merchandise. Never was it stated in our descriptions that the items were NEW. Condition flaws are inherent in this genre. If there was a significant flaw that we overlooked or failed to describe, that is understandable. To throw a blanket over your entire purchase experience as a one star review is not fair. Sorry you were not happy. Potential buyers, do beware, we offer condition reports specific to an item prior to the auction.

Too Fast With His Gavel!
When there are "ON LINE" bidders for an item, the auctioneer should allow a little more time for the "ON LINE" bidders to to respond to any increased bid submitted. Other than that, the Freedom Auction Company is outstanding.

Very Inadequate Description
The mat on this piece is very badly water damaged. That should have been mentioned in the description and there was only one photo of the work. The dimensions given were not correct and were of the frame (which was not shown) and not the work. The artist was also not mentioned, despite being labeled on the back of the work.

Responsive and professional auction house, simply AWFUL third party shipper.
As is all too often the case, auction house let down by third party shipper.

Thanks for the review. Sorry you were not happy with your shipper. It should be noted that it is your shipper, not our shipper. You may hire whoever you wish. We offer recommendations but that is all it is. In the future, should you or anyone reading this review win an item and need it shipped, we are happy to hold the item for a reasonable time frame while you obtain as many shipping quotes as possible until you are "5-star happy" with your entire experience.

Bidding is sometimes cut short during the live auctions, I have had a few bids fail to register, and the item ends abruptly, (while i am actively bidding) without fair warning or last call during the live bidding process. The auction house representative told me this must be an issue with liveauctioneers. However, I have only had this experience with this particular auction house.
