This was my third auction with Route 32. I love their catalog of items and they have an easy pay and pickup process. I’ve never had anything shipped but their auction staff are so nice I like to just visit them anyways. Will purchase from Route 32 again and consider them for my future auction needs (as if I would sell anything LOL).

This auction house gace my item already paid for to a shipper who had not given me an estimate and I was forced to pay them an exorbitant amount-to NOT get my item. It is now 70 + days since the auction and I still do not have the item because of a complete lack of ability on part of auction house, shipper, and the entire customer service process. AVOID THESE PEOPLE!

I love the items they have for auction. Items I have received are as described, excellent customer service. I will definitely be doing more business with this group.

In shipping, it's easy to damage an item trying to get it free from rolls and rolls of tape. An item is not going to squirm free inside the box. If I were shipping these tobacco jars, I would have wrapped in bubble wrap and a simple rubber band around it with no tape at all

Terrible experience, they use a national chain shipping service (Navis) that took six weeks and $85 to ship a train set from IN to PA-and they lost one of the cars. At least twenty phone calls and 61 days later they refunded the shipping, no sign of the car. I’m totally unsatisfied with Route 32. They did not help resolve the situation and took no responsibility. Bidder beware of Route 32.

DONT USE THIS AUCTION HOUSE THEY SWITCHED TO A SHIPPING COMPANY THAT TRIED TO OVER CHARGE ME SEVERAL TIMES. MISSING ONE ITEM FROM THE LOT ALSO. VERY BAD RUDE SERVICE NEVER AGAIN!

Route 32 auction house is the worst auction house I have dealt with. The auction it self was smooth and fast paced, from there the experience went down hill. Weeks went by waiting for the purchase invoice. Once that part was done it was many more weeks and emails to the shipping company requesting a bill from them. I actually had to start the PayPal resolution process before getting my shipping bill. For the price Navis packing cost me I could have driven my self from Washington to Indiana to pick up my items. The items were, for the most part, well packed and all arrived without damage. Route32 also has the highest buyers premium of any auction house I've dealt with. For these reasons, I will never do business with them again and recommend no one else do either.

It took 26 days, from the auction date, for the item to arrive. It also took way too much follow-up, on my part, to get questions answered. However, the people I spoke with were apologetic and polite. The item was paced well and was just as described. I will bid on a future auction of theirs and hope that the item (s) ship out faster.

I buy from a lot of auctions this is by far the worst experience i have ever had. the auctioneer promised in house shipping in the agreement. They then called me a week after i paid and told me that they were going to give it to a shipping company to ship since they were too busy to ship in house as promised. A week later I receieved an email from their shipper saying they had received my items and would let me know when they had an estimate. A week later i reached out to the shipper and the auctioneer for an update. Auctioneer was too busy with an auction to follow up and never made an attempt to get me an answer once they were done with that auction. Its clear they are only concerned about the next auction and not satisfying their paid customers. The shipping agent gave me a list of how they prioritize which basically said my items would be shipped last since i bought too much. five weeks later i finally received my items. fragile items were packed together with little cushioning. As someone who has worked in the shipping industry for 40 years i can easily tell you they charged me about three times what it cost them to do this poor pack job. In fact I've never seen a shipper charge so much. Throughout the 5 week period i constantly reached out to the shipper and Auctioneer for updates and never recieved a response. The fact is they just dont care. The very least you can do is respond to an email.

The auction house advertised in-house shipping. Two weeks after I paid for lots won I received a call explaining that they actually do not have staff available to pack/ship and recommended I use a 3rd party shipper. The caller recommended a company, Navis, who was picking up other lots the next day to handle the shipment or have to wait quite some time otherwise. With my back up against the wall, I said go ahead. Turned out the shipper was ridiculously expensive. They charged me $127 for a shipment that I could have sent them for $30. Beware of auction houses like Route 32 that advertise in-house shipping, but don't actually have staff assigned to do that function. I, also, had asked if my two items were in working condition before I placed my bids and the auction house would not verify yes or no. The items were two wind-up toys. Turned out 1 worked and 1 didn't so it could have been worse. The big issue is the in-house shipping as detailed.

Going on 40 days since I won my items. I had to call twice. Nice folks.

Well paced and well organized auction (transparency: I'm fairly new to auctions). The auctioneer gave ample time for bidding prior to closing bids.

Three weeks plus since the auction and have heard virtually nothing. Not the experience I expected or the review I wanted to leave.

The descriptions were non-existent. The titles had the most information and were not very accurate. Many of my bids were based on optimistic guesses of the lot contents. Bidding increments were very large during pre-bidding, but apparently changed completely during the actual live auction. I was outbid on most lots by $5 or $10 when the pre-bidding increment was $50. That is extremely unfair and unprofessional. Somehow, I managed to win one lot. There is no in-house shipping. Why do auction houses sell on-line without providing shipping services? The shipper they use is extremely expensive, slow, and difficult to work with. It has been one month since the auction and I still do not have my single lot. Clients who list with auction houses like this should know that buyers are going to spend most of their money on third party shipping. That means less money for the seller and less commission for the auction house. I would have bid 35 % less if I had known in advance. Or, if the auctioneer had been fair about their bid increment practices, I might have won more lots. Then I would have made the 5 hour round trip drive to save hundreds of dollars on rip-off shipping. I will definitely NOT be doing business with these people again unless I am willing to drive there to receive my items. Even then, I will be extremely wary of their lot contents.

First time bidder and will not be the last. I found these people to be responsive to questions and good people with whom to deal. Items extremely well packed and arrived much faster than I expected! I look forward to their next auction with old toy trains and toys.

Had Joe an employee deliver this item to me because of medical condition.

20 days after paying the invoice for auction items and I still do not have my items. Just received an email yesterday from a 3rd party shipper telling me that it could be up to 2 more weeks before my items are shipped. Since the route 32 auction, I bid on items from another auction, paid the invoice and have already received my items. They claim it is because of the size of the auction, but the 2nd auction I participated in was even larger. Bad first experience on the live auction scene.

The auction stated in house shipping. Once the item was paid for it was revealed they used an external company to handle shipping. After multiple attempts to contact external shipper, I was told it would take up to 30 days to receive item. I am still waiting on item. To add insult to injury external shipping charge was $81 for a an item that would cost $30 at most for USPS large priority box. I was also told it would cost $25 if I wanted to have someone pickup my item from the external shipper. Very frustrated with this shipping process and over cost.

Auction house advertised in house shipping, afterwards made excuses and farmed it out to third party shipping. Took 17 days to receive quote which was absolutely absurd! I’ve been buying at auction for my business for 15 years. I have NEVER had such an awful and unprofessional experience!

Made purchase Apr 10. Still waiting for item on May 1. They outsource shipping and really don’t care if or when you get your item, it seems by their actions. Sure took my immediate payment. Shipping company now tells me priority will go to those who purchased multiple items. Why tell someone that? Will cancel payment on Monday. Ticked off.

I am ready to do a credit card chargeback. They sent it to a 3rd party shipper, Navis who refuses to even give me an estimate. I would not recommend this auction house.
