Old Master Through Modern Prints

This season?s installment of our semiannual auction of fine Old Master through Modern Prints boasts several stellar private collections, each appearing at auction for the first time, including a European single-owner collection of more than 100 outstanding Rembrant etchings, a New York private collection of iconic prints by M.C. Escher and an American collector?s selection of Old Master prints studded with engravings by Martin Schongauer and Albrecht Dürer. Among the nineteenth century offerings are a group of scarce etchings by James A. M. Whistler and Edouard Manet, Impressionist prints by Mary Cassatt, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir?s Les Deux Baigneuses, 1895, a unique etching printed in red, as well as show-stopping fin de siècle works by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Gauguin and James Ensor.
