Distinctive Luxury

On display in Stefek's Distinctive Luxury auction is an assortment of glamorous jewelry, couture, and design for the home. Jewelry of note includes an Astrid Fog for Georg Jensen "Chimes" sterling silver necklace and bracelet set, several lots of 14k gold jewelry made from American and international coins, a stunning 14k yellow gold twelve-charm bracelet, and many more 14k and 18k yellow gold pieces. Native American and Southwest style jewelry will also be on offer, with pieces from George Nakai, Calvin Begay, Effie Calavaza, and more. Couture available for bidding includes several bags by Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, and Chanel, along with jackets and sets by Chanel and Oscar de la Renta. A selection of natural furs will be on offer, including a unique shearling coat by Oscar de la Renta and furs by Revillon and Fourrures Hercules. A splendid assortment of Judith Lieber minaudiere bags are available, in designs such as a wrapped gift, a foo dog, and more. The artwork selection is highlighted by a collection of abstract and modern lithographic prints, including works by Bridget Riley, Josef Albers, Julian Stanczak, Robert Natkin, Lois Mailou Jones, and Robert Bechtle. Traditional artwork to include pieces by Czeslaw Boris Jankowski, Jim Perkins, Charles Leslie, Gary David Hoffmann, and Fred Wehmer. For the home, mid-century pieces will include six model 49 teak dining chairs by Erik Buch, a teak credenza by Omann Jun Mobelfabrik, a unique teak expanding bar cart by Kurt Ostervig, and an extendable draw leaf dining table by J.L. Moller. More traditional style furniture to include a Karges French style dining suite, a 19th century drop-front desk, and a 19th century maple lowboy. An "AJ" floor lamp by Arne Jacobsen for Poulsen is a highlight of the lighting section.
