Rare Books, Maps & Atlases: BSC Session I

After 168 years Birmingham-Southern College has ceased normal operations. Birmingham-Southern College traces its roots back to 1856, the year the Alabama Legislature chartered Southern University as a Methodist institution. Over the 168 year span rare and important books were collected and housed in a special locked room adjacent to the main library. These books appear to have been accessible to students and faculty alike and cover a ranging number of topics. Subjects include Americana, Presidents, Founding Fathers, Southern States, Alabama, Florida, the Carolina?s, Anti-Slavery, Exploration and more. Also included in the auction are important atlases, maps, pamphlets and much more!
