Including a brief description regarding the condition of each items would be great. For those unable to attend in person knowing if there are any damages and such would be helpful.

I purchased a Italian brass mirror that had a poorly repaired broken frame. It was not visible or shown in the photos or description. In my opinion it is practically worthless but I spent $300 to ship it to me. I called them to discuss it and haven ‚ Ä ô t heard back. I am a very experienced buyer online but the days of buyer beware are over. I believe that all of the bids were online which means nine of us were able to preview the item. I believe in full disclosure with my 1stdibs clients and this is the second purchase that I have been disappointed with. Best Regards

The payment process is a little arduous. I have bought several times from them over the last year but I still have to go through the payment process online from A to Z every time. It would be a nice addition if I could at least have the basics stored and just re-enter payment each time. Having said that, it is nice that they take credit cards for the amount of your purchases. There are other houses that have a low cap on credit cards. Their customer service is good and I have referred several people to their auctions.

where applicaple put in measurements. Also, if they don't ship, have them put "best estimate". I purchased 6 small items that weighed less than a pound and had to pay over $50. If I had an idea on the cost involved, I wouldn't have bid for it.

Have antique shop and have been buying through Austin Auction since 2003. Family owned and operated and most employees have been employed over ten years. Have been following "liveauctioneers" and have made purchases through other auction houses also. Austin Auction is the best.

The inner wrapping sticky adhesive that was around the tissue paper was applied in too great an amount so that it became very difficult to cut away from the delicate ceramic beneath it and one flower got broken off in the struggle. Since this layer will be held in place by the many layers over it, a few pieces of scotch tape will suffice to hold ii in place and no more problems with that last layer that is so hard to remove-and with such dire results.
