.50-caliber, serial number 1317, walnut stock with two cartouche marks and the initials "JEW" lightly carved on each side of the butt, steel fittings, marked on the right side of the frame "MANUFACTURED BY/MASS. ARMS CO./CHICOPEE FALLS", marked on the left side of the frame "EDWARD MAYNARD/PATENTEE/MAY 27. 1851./DEC. 6. 1859.", marked "A.J.N." on the left side of the barrel near the breech, with a spent shell casing.

Condition
Stock has a few dings and nicks, some pitting around the nipple, the steel has a plum/gray patina, the bore is bright and crips with some pitting near the muzzle, the action functions properly, and in overall good condition.
