One of the most popular and famous works of French literature is Jules Verne’s “Twenty-Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.” Verne accurately describes features on Captain Nemo’s submarine (“The Nautilus”), which was considered ahead of its time as submarines were in their infancy.



This undated author’s edition of “Twenty Thousand Leagues” features many full-page engraved plates throughout! Interestingly we find this rare binding ONLY on Verne 1st editions and have not been able to locate a single example of this same edition paired with this binding for sale or documented worldwide
