A grouping of "Alvar", published by Edmund Newman, with original sketch to interior frontispiece, along with a lengthy inscription to its recipient, "Janice". The sketch covers the breadth of the page, depicting a woman with birds in hand, along with a remarque, also in ink, of a country landscape; 11" ht. x 10" wd.(page size). In addition, accompanying the book are a newspaper article of Alvar's visit to Cincinnati, as well as photographs of Janice with the artist, and even a photograph of the book being sketched by Alvar. A wonderful and intimate look at the artist's work.
