An American Rococo Carved Rosewood Full Tester Bed, c. 1850, stamped "C.Lee" throughout, arched cabochon crest, paneled headboard, tapered columnar posts, shaped conforming footboard and rails, height 109 in., length 77 1/2 in., width 64 1/2 in Note: Charles Lee was a Manchester, Massachusetts, craftsman whose beds were sold in the New Orleans market. A stamped C. Lee bed is part of the Stanton Hall collection in Natchez, Mississippi. Two beds are also part of the collection at Melrose Plantation, Natchez, MS. Reference: Harrison, Stephen, " 'C.
